The Ostrich Inn is situated in the ancient village of Colnbrook and was once a popular coaching inn for the London to Bath stagecoach route. The Ostrich Inn claims to be the third oldest inn, this is based on documents and records that date back to 1165, and is the first pub in England to be featured in the novel 'Thomas Of Reading', written by the late 16th century author Thomas Deloney, which features former landlord Jarman and his murderous ways.
